OUR STORY

Pilot House Distilling, founded by Larry Cary in 2013, is a craft distillery situated in the heart of historic downtown Astoria, Oregon. Larry’s fascination with the intricacies of distilling quickly evolved into his deep-rooted passion for everything related to spirits. Initially, the distillery produced gins and vodkas while allowing whiskies to age in-house.  

In 2017, we took the lead in advocating for a change in Oregon’s laws to permit the sale of canned cocktails in the state, and our efforts proved successful. As a result, we were able to create and introduce the Astoria Mary, the first-ever canned cocktail in Oregon. 

Today, we offer an extensive range of spirits that include unique whiskies, gins, freshly infused vodkas, agave spirits, and absinthe, as well as a variety of canned cocktails. We also have three tasting rooms in Astoria, Portland, and Cannon Beach, and distribute our products in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada, with plans to expand our reach further along the West Coast and beyond.
